Day 5 - Textures

We will be covering textures in Blender today, along with a few other tech-things that are good to know.

I’ll do it live in-class. If you missed class (track, softball, sick, whatever) here are some videos you can watch to get the same info.

    • Remind Num-Del for centering

    • Num-0 for camera

    • R and RR for rotating the camera after selection

    • Shift-Tilde for fly mode

  • Common problems with extrude

    • Duplicate cube three times.

    • Show viewport shading…options…random

    • Cube 1. Select a face. Pull it out. All is ok.

    • Cube 2. Extrude. Hit escape. Now have two items on top of each other. Show what it looks like.

    • Cube 3. Show how to recover. Ctrl-Z. Or Mest…clean up…merge by distance.

    • Show where to grab to resize areas.

    • Show how to add vert/horiz split
