Video on getting started: Modeling a Low Poly Room.

While the video mentions a starting file, I’m looking for you to start from scratch. This How to Make a Low-Poly Room article has a good tutorial on starting from scratch.

Unlike the rocket assignment, this one has a lot of room for creativity. Feel free to model the room the way you’d like, just spend time using those mesh modeling tools you’ve just learned about.

Before turning in:

  • Model a low poly bedroom (6 pts)

  • Color the items in the room using materials (1 pt)

  • Add lights. Do better than one light in the ceiling. (1 pt)

  • Make sure you’ve got a camera in the scene, and it points to your room (1 pt)

  • Put an image texture on at least one item in the room (1 pt)

    • “Pack” any textures you have into the file with File…External Data…Automatically Pack Resources

    • Create a document with citations on any images you use.
